New design technology inrekor can reduce vehicle weight by up to 30 percent

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - New technology inrekor designed for the construction of motor vehicles can reduce their weight by 30 percent, significantly decreases the consumption of this modified cars. Representatives of the same technology the company introduced on Wednesday in Prague.

The technology was invented by engineer and designer Stewart Morley, who has more than 16 years of experience and practice in the automotive, aerospace and marine industries. The original concept was eventually implemented with Freddy Page-Roberts, his current business partner, who founded the company itself inrekor.

"We saw a great opportunity for the industry to significantly reduce its impact on the environment. Inrekor is ultra lightweight sandwich core material composed of expanded polypropylene and bonded layers of aluminum. With this design we have achieved excellent strength while maintaining minimal weight. Order meet the high demands that are now imposed on construction materials in the automotive industry, we had inrekor tested by independent authorities. As structural tests of the Warwick Manufacturing Group, and the company MIRA crash tests have shown that the required criteria inrekor significantly higher than their results. It is easier , easily producible and greener than any other in this area have used materials, "said Morley.

Company representatives in Prague also presented the first prototype vehicle chassis čtyřsedadlového. Thanks to the innovative design of the inrekoru in this chassis have reduced his weight from 300 kg to normal only 160 kilograms. The model case of a typical family car would be possible according to the company representatives using ultra-lightweight construction inrekoru and associated strain of other components save up to 300 kilograms. "In absolute numbers, and global, this technology has brought annual savings of ten billion liters of fuel for 300 billion and reduce CO2 emissions by 50 million tons," says Morley.

Development of technology and the performance itself is supported by inrekor JSP that is used by the manufacturer ARPRO. It lies at the very heart inrekoru and largely determines its mechanical properties.Massive use of the material inrekor so closely connected with the Czech Republic, as one of the two European factories of the JSP is located in Cheb. "The idea inrekoru we liked from the beginning, and therefore strongly support. We see in him one of the few innovations that can have very significant impact on the current development and construction of automobiles, the car manufacturers can also easily and quickly implement," said President JSP's EMEA Paul Compton.

Representatives of inrecor Mediafax agency said that the use of the material currently negotiating with several European automakers. Within two to three years, yet wanted to started a mass production car modified as follows. In addition to the automotive industry, said material suitable for aerospace, shipbuilding and shipping containers.
