U.S. - producer prices in November rose the most in 8 months and beat market expectations


Output price index (PPI) in the U.S. in November showed a monthly increase of 0.8% compared to the October growth of 0.4%. The market allowed for the PPI growth of 0.6% in the range of estimates from +0.2 to +1.2%. The main growth driver of the rising cost of gasoline, heating oil and fruit.
Compared PPI in November grew by 3.5% after growth of 4.3% in October

The so-called. core-PPI, which in itself bears the influence of volatile food and energy prices, rose in November month on month by 0.3%, which exceeded average expectations, although set to increase by 0.2%, but on the other hand, it was the smallest increase over the past 5 months.
In comparison, the core PPI rose by 1.2% versus 1.5% in October.

Prices of new cars in November rose by 1.7% mom, the highest since 2006. In October, car prices fell by 3%.

Food prices rose by 1% in the growth rates of 23% of eggs and fresh fruit by 14%.
Energy prices rose by 2.1% higher gasoline prices by 4.7% and heating oil by 7%.

Prices of raw materials rose by 0.6%.
