U.S. - the number of new requests for support in the last week fell less than expected


Number of new requests for support in unemployment in the U.S. last week fell by 6,000 to 422,000 applications. Market computed with a decline to about 417 000 applications in the range of estimates from 400 to 440 000th Data for last week was upwardly revised from 424 to 428 000 applications.

Four-week moving average declined from the previous 439 500 425 500 applications.

The number of Americans receiving long-term support in
unemploymentdecreased by 1,000 to 3.71 million. Including other benefits under other government support programs decreased this number by 4900 to 4.04 million people.
