The average wage of the Slovak Republic last year was € 769

BRATISLAVA (MEDIAFAX) - The average salary of the Slovak Republic in the last year was 769 euros (18,644 dollars). More than half of Slovaks presented so wages but does not inform the server on a Saturday newspaper New Time.

"Up to 30 percent of employees in the Slovak month last year earned an average of less than € 500 gross (12,122 dollars)," said Radko Kuruc of the Economic Policy Institute. "Half of the workers received less than 700 euros (16 971). Salary from 750 to 800 euros last year earned about five percent of the people," said Kuruc.

In comparison with other euro area countries, Slovakia is doing wrong. In Austria, the average salary of around 2,000 euros (48,489 dollars) higher than the Slovak Republic. In Greece, approximately twice the salary.In Estonia, the latest euro area countries on average earn more than the Slovaks.

In the Czech Republic in the first quarter of this year, the average salary of 23,144 crowns.

A New Time rankings compiled 70 occupations that do not reach the average salary. The worst of this comparison is based školníci. Their average monthly wage is 410 euros (9,940 dollars). Right behind them are lifeguards (416 euros), nurses (417 euros) and postmen (434 euros).
