CR - annual industrial producer price index in May the lowest since May 2010


Previous month, prices of agricultural producers by 0.8% and market services by 0.2%. Industrial producer prices and construction work have not changed.
In comparison, agricultural producer prices were lower by 2.6%, construction 0.6% and market services by 0.8%. Industrial producer prices increased by 1.7%.

Monthly changes

Agricultural producer prices grew by 0.8%. In crop production prices increased by 3.6%, prices of vegetables rose by 18.0% *, 5.0% for oil and cereals by 3.3%. Prices of animal products fell by 2.4% due to lower prices of eggs by 18.3% and milk by 3.2%. Both increased by 0.9% of pigs and poultry, as well as cattle by 0.6%.

Industrial producer pricesremained unchanged in total. Primarily prices of transport equipment by 1.2% and especially prices of parts and accessories for motor vehicles by 1.6%. Prices of chemicals and chemical products rose by 0.9% and basic metals and fabricated metal products by 0.6%. The most significant decrease was recorded for prices of coke and refined petroleum products by 3.8%. Prices of food products, beverages and tobacco decreased by 0.2%, the highest prices for dairy products by 2.1% and bakery and farinaceous products by 0.4%.

Prices of construction work is estimated to remain unchanged, the prices of materials and products consumed in construction rose by 0.3%.

Prices of market services in the business sphereincreased by 0.2%. Higher prices for advertising and market research services by 1.9%, were lower prices for real estate services by 0.2% and in telecommunications by 0.1%. Prices of market services do not include advertising services remained unchanged.

Annual changes

Agricultural producer prices were lower by 2.6% (in April by 2.8%). The prices of crop products fell by 8.3%. Were lower potato prices by 56.0%, followed by 8.3% fruits and cereals by 7.5%. Prices of vegetables for the first time after 12 months is higher, by 18.4%. Animal production prices increased by 5.5% due to higher prices of eggs by 77.9% and 14.6% of the pigs. Cattle prices were higher by 8.7%, poultry by 2.0%. Milk prices fell by 4.1%.

Industrial producer pricesincreased by 1.7% (in April by 2.2%). Price level significantly influenced the growth of prices of coke and refined petroleum products by 8.8%, chemicals and chemical products by 6.2% and rubber, plastic and other non-metallic mineral products by 3.1%. Also increased prices of food products, beverages and tobacco by 1.6%, of which prices of other food products by 7.2% and meat and meat products by 4.3%. The substantial reduction in prices occurred in the grain mill and starch products by 10.7%, vegetable and animal oils and fats by 6.6% and dairy products by 3.3%. Prices of mining and quarrying decreased by 6.0%, prices of coal and brown coal and lignite by 11.1%.
Among the main industrial groupings, year on year energy prices increased the most by 2.5%.

Prices of construction workestimated to be lower by 0.6% (in April by 0.7%). Prices of materials and products consumed in construction increased by 1.8% (as in April).

Prices of market services in the business sector fell by 0.8% (as in April). Prices fell for the advertising and market research services by 4.1%, for architectural and engineering services by 2.6% and real estate services by 1.0% and in telecommunications by 0.6%. Higher prices were recorded in freight traffic by 1.2% and 1.1% for insurance. Market services prices excluding advertising services decreased by 0.3% (in April by 0.2%).

Industrial producer prices in the EU - in April 2012 **

In the European Union (EU27), according to data released by Eurostat, industrial producer prices in April month on monthchanged (in March increased by 0.5%). Among the countries for which data are available, the highest increases were registered in Bulgaria, Denmark and Ireland both by 1.1%. In Poland, the prices increased by 0.9% and Germany 0.2%. In the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovak prices remained unchanged. The highest decreases were recorded in Spain by 0.8% and Sweden 0.5%.

In comparison to prices in the EU27 rose in April by 2.8% (in March by 3.9%). Prices increased the most in Cyprus by 8.3%, Lithuania 7.1% and in Hungary by 7.0%. In Poland, prices rose by 4.2%, Slovak 3.9%, Germany 2.4%, the Czech Republic by 2.2% and Austria by 1.0%. In comparison to prices in Sweden fell by only 0.5%.
