Switzerland's unemployment rate remained unchanged in July


The number of unemployed persons at the end of July in Switzerland rose by 1,426 to 116,294, the unemployment rate for the third month but remained unchanged at 2.7%, Statistical Office announced. This result was in line with the expectations of the majority. In the same period last year were 109 200 unemployed persons and unemployment rate of 2.5%. The highest unemployment was still in the canton of Geneva (4.7%) and lowest in Nidwalden (0.7%). Adjusted for seasonal unemployment rate remained Switzerland in July, unchanged at 2.9%.

Working authorities recorded a total of 167,222 job applicants about 785 more than last month. In comparison, the number increased by 4,692 persons. The number of vacancies decreased by 381 to 17 112 and the 043rd year of 2 At one place an average of 9.8 candidates.
