PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - From the morning until eight o'clock on Wednesday evening discussed the first senators of his 25th point of controversy meeting - the law on property settlement between the state and churches. He eventually rejected as expected.

Standard, introduced by Senator Alena Hanáková Minister of Culture (TOP 09 and Mayors), the upper chamber of Parliament has rejected 43 votes to 33 people present.

The government bill, according to which church and state got assets worth about 75 billion financial compensation and 59 billion crowns, recommended to reject constitutional-legal, economic and education committee. The main reasons were breaking boundaries 25th February 1948 and quantification overpriced property. According to the Social Democrats, who in particular did not like the proposal, will begin after the adoption of the Act also collect complaints of people whose property was restituted by other criteria.

"Unfortunately, we are dealing with it all the time when the Czech economy falls. In the second half of the senators on a proposal from Peter Vichy (CSSD) have agreed that each senator may speak only twice and speak only ten minutes. Social Democrats reacted to the long speech of Peter Bratského (ODS), which marked the obstruction. After this measure, which marked the coalition senators to be inadequate, there was a debate until eight o'clock in the evening, when the amendment was rejected.

Now the proposal will be re-addressed the Chamber of Deputies.

At the end of the day senators still unanimously with amendments Constitutional Law Committee approved the amendment to the Insolvency Act. It introduces a penalty for filing an insolvency petition unjust penalty of up to 50 thousand.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, when the senators will have to deal with other controversial government proposal - a comprehensive package of tax changes.
