HC2: CTO reduce connection fees next year by half and will regulate landlines


According Pravo wants domestic telecommunications regulator (CTO) further reduction in interconnection fees. Next year should fall to half the fee from the current 0.55 to 0.27 CZK CZK. CTO also wants to continue in the regulation of fixed network calls in the company. Further regulation perceive as negative, even though such influence interconnect rates will be reflected in the income and expenditure at the same time and so the resulting adverse effect should be limited.

CTO proposes to reduce termination rates of local fixed-line calls from 30 pennies to 7 and from 34 to 8 pennies for long distance calls. According ČTK calling rates for mobile operators, while the drop in prices for call termination too reflected (FleetSheet / Right).

The news for shares of Telefónica Czech Republic as slightly negative because lower prices for call termination lead to lower profitability. However, the intention of these fees reduce the regulator announced earlier. Josef Novotny
