Only Polish zloty lost during the day

Dealing with regional currencies today was very quiet. Czech koruna and Hungarian forint better off, while the Polish zloty lost. The koruna against the euro fluctuated in a relatively narrow band 13haleřovém while cheaply in the interbank market was possible to buy one euro at 24.88 crowns. The domestic currency against the European and compared to yesterday's conclusion attributed about one-third percent.

From region we saw one interesting comments from central bankers and prime minister. Andrzej Bratkowski, a supporter of a more relaxed monetary policy, said that the central bank should have this year cut interest rates by 75 bp. Justifies its claim primarily by the economic slowdown now represents a greater risk than inflation. The latter, Donald Tusk, said then that the course boundaries around 4.50 PLN / EUR would provide a good ground for the further development of the Polish economy. While the immediate response to the comments we have not seen, after all today zloty lost almost půlprocento and weakened to the limit 4.09 PLN / EUR.

In Hungary, the published minutes of the last meeting of the central bank then revealed that the Bank Board voted 4:3 in favor of a rate cut by 25 bps. At the same time it was said that further easing of monetary policy is likely to persist if favorable market conditions and inflation risks remain moderate.

The Czech swap and bond market was dead. For a minimum business income and rates remained unchanged.
