The government will discuss compensation for renewable energy, electricity, probably because they will raise the price


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Electricity by next year due to the promotion of renewable energy sources (RES) could rise by more than two percent, Nečas government does decide whether to reduce the compensation of two billion just on electricity price increases in relation to the RES. Regulation of the Government ministers will discuss at its meeting yesterday.

Draft Government counts with a limit of EUR 9.7 billion, which is also listed in the draft state budget for 2013. With this limit, the Office disagrees and proposes a limit of CZK 11.7 billion.

Just the amount of EUR 11.7 billion corresponds to the amount contributed by the state this year.

According to calculations by the Department of Electrical Power Engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade will discontinuing two billion next year to raise electricity prices by at least two percent.If the contribution remained at the level proposed by the Office, prices would remain, according to calculations at the same level this year.

Regulation would take effect on the date of its publication.
