Rebels of ODS: Nečasův compromise for VAT is a step in the right direction


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Taxes must be increased to a minimum, ideally all, the prime minister's proposal is the basis for further negotiations. That is six rebellious attitude among ODS, as in Tuesday for Mediafax said deputies Jan Florian and Radim Fiala.

Another rebel in ODS Úlehla Thomas confirmed that talks with Prime Minister are going on Tuesday. "We have to get him an official statement, so I have only partial information from the media, as it looks proposal Petr Necas.'ll See where to move," said Úlehla.

Necas on Monday at ODS executive council came up with options that would increase only the lower VAT rate from 14 to 15 percent, and only in 2014, then returned to the original value. The base rate would remain at 20 percent.

Management of ODS is now trying to negotiate a compromise version of the law for which would lift his hand and six rebel representatives from their ranks. Without them, the coalition has the necessary absolute majority of votes that it became a presidential veto.
