AWD: The crisis of the pension system peak, the second pillar is not a solution

Only 5% of people are counting on the state for them in old age care

Only the greatest optimists still believe that the State is able to provide care for their citizens in old age. As was shown in a survey of AWD, it left them only 5%. On the contrary, more than one-third expect nothing from the government and relies entirely on himself. The majority assumes that the state pension supplement from their own savings.

"The impending crisis of the pension system is spoken for a long time, and because many people began to think more about their own savings. At the same time but increase the number of people who will work hard to require that the state paid for the tax actually fulfill its function, "says Tomas Rampula, principal analyst AWD.

Typical Bohemia to the board itself already saves an average of 500 CZK per month, usually in the form of pension. Other types of investments that can increase retirement income, such as buying shares interesting dividend or invest in mutual funds, while in the Czech Republic are not too popular. The majority of Czechs do not have enough information, and thus relies instead on security.

"Interestingly, the Czechs are willing to spend on various things meaningless consumer huge amount, but the question of how to provide for old age, own a few, it is," says Thomas Rampula.

Not used systems, saving is now complete other voluntary savings, the state financial support. But experts have repeatedly pointed out that neither the second pillar of the pension system is not the solution to the problems that the current pension system due to aging of the population at risk."Practically the only way to prevent a radical reduction in the standard of living in retirement is a long-term development of their own economies, relying only on the state really can not. After all, who today believe the current politicians? It is therefore correct to rely on future policies, which are actually not know that about me in retirement care? "Concludes Rampula.

The above information, based on a survey on the financial behavior of the Czech population, which prepared the company Perfect Crowd on a representative sample of 900 respondents from the Czech Republic.
