Cetelem: 61% of citizens do not understand the proposed pension reform


Most people do not understand the pension reform! In an extensive survey Cetelem * admitted that 61 percent of respondents. Prepared pension reform is yet useful only by less than four percent of the population.

Second pillar pension reform, a new form of voluntary pension savings, whose fate is still uncertain, it does more than half of the respondents (51.4%), with almost 95 percent of those surveyed are not yet firmly decided whether to enter the second pillar. The vast majority of people (80.4%) did not see this form of retirement savings no positive and almost all respondents (94.7%) raises some concerns.

Most people have a fear that would eventually become the money payed under the second pillar of the pension system to prepare (51.2%). Almost as big of concern in humans inability to leave the system after it is decided for him (50.6%). Around half of people experience uncertainty about whether the system will ever change in the future (48.6%) and are also strong concerns about wrecking the Fund due to the fact that the deposits were insured (45.8%).  

Approximately one third (34.8%) are worried that the money in the second pillar pension savings did not sufficiently evaluate, and effectively would reduce the retirement income due to the fact that anyone who would come into the new system savings would reduced pension paid part of the ongoing pension system. The fact that in the case of participation in the second pillar of the pension system also had to save two percent of salary, perceived as a disadvantage only about 16 percent of those surveyed.
