Czech Republic - fall in construction output in September, deepened


Construction output in September 2012 fell year on year by 10.6%. Building authorities granted by 11.4% less building permits and their approximate value fell by 9.5%. It was started up by 25.5% yoy. Were completed by 4.6% yoy.

Construction output in September 2012 fell year on year by 10.6%, adjusted for working days decreased by 8.2%. September 2012 was compared to the same month of the previous year by two working days less. Construction output seasonally adjusted was in September 2012 decreased by 1.5%. Building construction output fell by 8.2% (contribution -5.6 pp) and civil engineering output fell by 15.8% (contribution -5.0 pp). Construction output since the beginning of the end of September fell compared with the same period of boom of 2008 by 20.7%.

Average number of employees 1) in enterprises with 50 or more employees in the construction industry in September 2012 year decreased by 5.5%. Their average monthly nominal wage rose by 1.7% and amounted to 29 114 CZK.

At the end of the third quarter of 2012, construction enterprises with 50 or more employees concluded a total of 12,100 orders (down 9.7%) and these orders represented a stock has implemented construction works worth a total of CZK 144.3 billion (a decrease of 13.1 %).

The number of building permits issued in the 3rd quarter of 2012 dropped by 9.2%, building control authorities granted 25 770th approximate value of the buildings was CZK 102.9 billion in the same period of 2011 increased by 31.3%, mainly due to large construction permits Energy and Industry in August 2012.

Number of dwellings completed in the 3rd quarter of 2012 grew by 4.4% and amounted to 6905 bytes. Number of dwellings in family houses increased by 7.6% in residential buildings increased by 10.5%.
