UK - industrial production fell by 1.7%, the manufacturing sector grew in September by 0.1%, but is expected to grow by 0.4%


Industrial production in the UK in September fell by 1.7%, compared with an estimated market decline of 0.6%. September is the second worst result since August 2009. Worse industry data showed only in June, but this was largely due to the extraordinary feasts associated with royal celebrations.
The September decline was primarily led by decrease in oil and natural gas, which decreased by 20.9% mom, which was the most since the beginning of the observation data in 1997. Outage was caused by extraction of mining equipment maintenance.
Total production in the mining and extraction of raw materials decreased by 15.3% mom, which was the highest since 1974.
Oil production is in decline across the industrial production contributed 1.9 percentage point.
Compared total industrial output in September fell by 2.6%.

Production in the manufacturing sector in the UK in September grew by 0.1% compared to the expected market growth of 0.4%. The decline recorded six of the 13 sectors tracked. Production growth recorded mainly manufacturing sectors of pharmaceuticals, transportation, computer and electronics.
Compared production declined by 1%.
