Members supported the new law on international judicial cooperation


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Lawmakers lower chambers of parliament on Tuesday ordered that a new law on international judicial cooperation in criminal matters discussed constitutional law committee. The law should clarify the rules on transfer of personal data and the people to whom it is issued an international arrest warrant.

The issue has modified the Penal Code, but due to the large number of amendments to the Department of Justice came to the creation of a separate law. According to the deputy Viktor Paggia (PEOPLE) and replace the law "legislative hydrocephalus", which originated in the Criminal Code because of the large number of implementing directives.

The standard also provides for recognition of foreign judicial authorities. The law and regulations are incorporated in the European Union.Include the possibility of cooperation in the field of criminal law on the principle of mutual recognition, for example, alternatives to detention, transfer of sentenced imprisonment or transfer the Supervision of Conditionally Sentenced or definition of the role and position of the European Judicial Cooperation Unit - Eurojust.

Significant changes in the law will undergo extradition from abroad. "Replaces the institute international arrest warrant. A new concept should be less formal and would prevent delays in announcing international search if the person is unable to track down in the Czech Republic within one year," write the authors of the original.

News also lie in the recognition and enforcement of foreign decisions. According to the authors, the following definition of the missing transmission enforcement courts of the Czech Republic abroad.

"The proposal contains some sensitive parts, such as covert investigation of foreign forces in the Czech Republic. Basically its content is, unless the Czech authorities do not agree or when they receive approval within five hours after entering the Czech soil monitoring must stop," said Paggio .
