Consolidation package goes well with increased VAT to the Senate, the government won the confidence of Members

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Members approved in the middle of the third reading of government stabilization package, which increases from January VAT by one percentage point in both rates to 15 or 21 percent. The standards, which are also tied to a vote of confidence in the government, raised his hand 101 deputies.

Lawmakers in the lower parliamentary chamber eventually voted after the names, as proposed by the President of the Chamber of Deputies Miroslava Nemcova (ODS), the objection against this procedure gave Chief Whip ODS Zbynek Stanjura.

The amendments managed to connect to the changes that prepared the Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek (TOP 09), a proposal MP Lenka Kohoutová (ODS), which disappears from the unification of housing benefit. "This proposal so long to present social democracy, to come back with Mrs. Kohoutová adopted," mentioned after the vote Lubomir Zaoralek, CSSD deputy chairman.Government needed to approve the Act 98 votes.

Norma now heads to the Senate, which is likely to reject it, so will go back to Members. At that point, the government will need to have 101 votes. Wednesday's number of members, among whom there were also fresh ODS Bohatec Paul, Deputy Mayor Miroslav Kladno Bernasek and former deputy mayor of Cologne Roman Pekarek, yet ineffective by the court sentenced to six years in prison for a request for a bribe, would still be enough to override the Senate.

The three new members to replace ODS Tluchoř Peter, Mark and Ivan Fuksa Šnajdr who passed on Wednesday morning their mandates, they would not vote for a tax increase. Without the government's proposal would unite both the VAT rate from January to 17.5 percent.

Approved for example, raises the standard VAT rate to 15 and 21 percent and establishes a seven percent tax on people with incomes over 100,000 crowns a month, but that would be true only one year. Current expenditure on self-inclusives remain preserved according to the package, but the amount of tax deductions at 30 - and a 40 percent lump-sum income will be limited in the amount of two million, so most of these traders apply in spending 600, or 800 thousand. Self-employed persons who decide to take advantage of fixed rates, lose some discounts, such as the tax credit for a dependent child, or discount for a spouse with no or low income.

The Government is now able to present a revised budget to the Chamber of Deputies, which counts against the original proposal, spending cuts and revenue of approximately four billion. In it will already be incorporated changes brought consolidation package.

"The consolidation package was approved in the government's version, which allows to build the state budget in the original parameters. ODS In addition, we have agreed that we want a progressive tax and super-gross wage disappeared at the end of 2013, about how we try to support the coalition partners," Prime Minister Petr Necas said at a press conference after the approval of the package. This proposal gained the ODS deputy Boris Stastny, because that agreed to accept the resolutions of Congress and raises his hand for higher VAT.

That the package returns the original budget, confirmed by Miroslav Kalousek, Minister of Finance of the TOP 09 "I appreciate the support of the House, and that, for him, 101 deputies voted, assures me that I can go back budget, which I requested withdrawal. Was hurt that we were on the second draft could see how we avoid the consequences of the adoption of this proposal, "mentioned.

The Prime Minister has concerns that the legislative process is not finished until the end of the year. He added that he apologizes for Czech entrepreneurs as they left a government is uncertainty with regard to VAT rates.
