Mr. Jemelka, you probably want one of us to make supermen, I recently heard from the mouth of the company's managers, which ranks among my clients. In what context this "woefully helpless" cry rang?

In the course of his practice is increasingly confronted with the concrete manifestations of what might be called the word "incompetent businessman", "incompetent manager" etc. When I analyzed for their own use the most common problems on the executive staff, I found the 5 most common causes of why it is in business someone "incompetent". Just between us - a word meaning unable to give or take this: one does not have the ability to do something, to do, to achieve.
This ability is not in business for an entrepreneur or manager ultimately reflected in an enterprise that has no results, now that languish or bankrupt. And as I have said, the cause of this result not the ability to see in five short words: inconsistency nedisciplína, incompetence, arrogance, exhaustion.

If we should briefly explain each of these concepts, he would to one page of text is not enough, so very, very briefly .... I recently asked some people during the consultation day (Aware that today there is a strong inflation importance of content words), what do you introduce the notion of inconsistency. I received about this response: "Inconsistency is when a person does not do what he has." Wrong, my friend, I replied. Your definition of the word inconsistency bordering on word meaning rather nedisciplína.So let's look at the word inconsistency. Inconsistency is when a person nedotahuje things, tasks, etc. to the end. Inconsistency is when the manager checked the given task. Inconsistency is when attention, consciousness, etc. polevím effort in fulfilling their duties or when just before closing time already poison only 50%. These are all signs of inconsistency. A lack of consistency in companies is like a plague. The infection is spread from one worker to another inconsistent - not so much the same attitude as poorly done work for you then another one follows. Inconsistency means that something nedotáhnu end. I miss the move to the goal. Focus and focus on the target, move to the result. Directionality, or as was said in English - focus.

Nedisciplína, that's another problem ... people say they will do something, he knows what to do, and then just use the time for other work. Eg. businessman - he knows that he calls, negotiate meetings, travel for meetings, trade - but has doubts with psychological difficulties that people refuse to buy, do not sign the order. And "our" rather dealer doing anything other than what he has. This is an example nedisciplíny.

Incompetence is when someone has entrusted a part of this work, but actually in the job at all unfamiliar. By the way, one note "below the line". The boss is not someone who should understand everything when boss. It should first of all be understood, if we say so, was under the supervision. I do not need to be a mechanical engineer, so I can well manage the engineering firm. Do I have the below technical people to the area, I have to be able to control these people.And I know how to effectively check them without me drunk the rolls.

Pride is another common problem. Not for nothing is said that pride comes before a fall. Proud entrepreneur or manager, the man who succeeded, made money, often starts to behave strangely, even a negative and offensive, arrogant, haughty, etc., and it is the moment it starts to fall.

A fatigue? Quite logically. Who wants to convince others, if not energy? Who wants to give 100% power when no strength? Entrepreneur - Manager is obliged to keep fit, both physical and mental energy that could literally sršet. Which is not trade, business, leadership of persuasion? About getting the others for ideas, tasks, projects? How to burn when nehoříte? How to arouse, encourage, if you do not have energy? I understand that anyone can be after 20 years of business exhausted, burned out, burn-out.But why? As done for it to be kept at an energy level?

I recently spoke about his conclusions (and other things) with the managers of my client. One of them looked at me during the day looked and said, "Lord Jemelka, you probably want one of us to make supermen!" No. I said, but business executives, entrepreneurs, businessman. That is true. I want one of you to have people with common sense who are consistent, disciplined, professional, humble and full of energy.
