Czech Republic - PPI output prices rose in October


Mom agricultural producer prices rose by 1.9%, in industry by 0.2% and market services by 0.5%. Construction work prices remained unchanged.
Year-Agricultural producer prices were higher by 12.5%, in industry by 1.9%. Lower prices were works by 0.6% and market services by 1.0%.

Monthly changes

Agricultural producer prices rose by 1.9%. In crop production, prices increased by 1.6%, prices of cereals rose by 2.9%, vegetables by 2.2% and 1.0% oil. Potato prices fell by 3.8%. Prices of animal products increased by 2.2%, egg prices rose by 7.7%, 4.3%, pigs and poultry by 1.1%. For the first time after 14 months, prices of cattle, by 0.5%.

Industrial producer pricesthe total rose by 0.2%. In particular the prices of food products, beverages and tobacco by 1.4%, the prices of dairy products by 2.6% and meat and meat products by 2.1%. Prices of basic metals and fabricated metal products increased by 0.4%. Prices of coke and refined petroleum products by 2.0% and textile, clothing and leather by 0.7%.

Construction work prices (according to estimates) have not changed, the prices of materials and products consumed in construction fell by 0.1%.

Prices of market services in the business sector increased by 0.5%. Price growth in advertising and market research services by 4.8% and financial services, except insurance and pension funding, by 0.6%. Market services prices excluding advertising services increased by 0.1%.

Year comparison:

Agricultural producer priceswere higher by 12.5% ??(in September by 10.3%). In crop production, prices rose by 20.2%, prices of vegetables rose by 27.5%, cereals by 24.8%, oil 15.6% and potatoes by 10.8%. In livestock production, prices were higher by 3.3%. Egg prices rose by 33.9% and 23.1% of pigs. Cattle prices were higher by 11.0%, poultry by 5.3%. Milk prices have fallen by 11.9%.

Industrial producer prices rose by 1.9% (in September by 1.7%). The price level was affected by rising prices of coke and refined petroleum products 9.7%, chemicals and chemical products by 11.1% and food products, beverages and tobacco by 4.4%. Prices of feed increased by 18.2%, vegetable and animal oils and fats by 16.9% and meat and meat products by 8.8%. Prices of basic metals and fabricated metal products 2.1%, wood, paper and printing by 1.3% and transport equipment by 0.6%.
Among the main industrial groupings, energy prices increased the most by 3.9%, prices of durable consumer goods by 0.4%.

Construction work prices were estimated lower by 0.6% (the same as in September). Prices of materials and products consumed in construction increased by 0.7% (in September by 0.6%).

Prices of market services in the business sector fell by 1.0% (in September by 0.5%). Prices fell in advertising and market research services by 6.2%, for architectural and engineering services by 2.8% and telecommunications services by 1.0%. Higher prices for financial services, except insurance and pension funding, by 3.9%. Market services prices excluding advertising services decreased by 0.1% (in September by 0.2%).

Industrial producer prices in the EU - September 2012 *

In the European Union (EU27), according to data released by Eurostat, industrial producer prices rose month on month in September by 0.3% (in August by 1.1%). Among the countries for which data are available, prices increased the most in Denmark 1.1%, Netherlands 0.9% and Portugal 0.6%. In Austria and Poland, prices rose by 0.4% in Germany and the Slovak Republic also +0.3%, the Czech Republic, the prices did not change. The drop in prices was recorded in Greece, 0.6% in Spain and Italy by 0.1%.

Previous year, prices in the EU27 rose in September by 2.6% (in August by 2.8%). Prices increased the most in Bulgaria by 6.6%, Cyprus 6.3% and Romania 6.0%. The Slovak prices rose by 4.2%, Poland 3.0%, in the Czech Republic and Germany +1.7% and Austria by 0.9%. Previous year, prices did not fall in any of the countries of the European Union.
