Nearly one third of Czechs have higher qualifications than required by their profession


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - A higher qualification than is required by their current job, have three out of ten Czechs. Against this lack of knowledge and education for their current work shows that only seven percent of the people it is clear from the results of a survey released on Thursday, a consulting company Randstad.

In comparison with other countries in this respect, the Czech Republic, according to statistics done well. The world average is below the level of their qualification works nearly half of all employees, while a fifth of staff is not qualified for their profession enough.

"Among vystudovaným discipline, skills and jobs that people eventually perform, in the Czech Republic there is surprisingly good agreement. In this respect, we classify the level of countries, such as Belgium, Denmark and Luxembourg. Has to do partly with the fact that the Czechs are relatively conservative.If you opt for one particular field, it just do not like change, "says Erik Švarcbach survey results, Branch Manager Randstad branch in Prague.

By maintaining and upgrading the skills of employees, according to information the company Randstad enough invests half of all local employers. They indulge their employees as continuing education and professional training. A little worse, however, with opportunities for career growth, more than three-fifths of employees complain that they do not get to it in the current work area.

The problem of Czech employers is a lack of specialists. "Long is the labor market shortage of some specialists, typically in IT or technical fields. Missing people who fluently speak two or more languages ??and they have work experience in certain areas," says Lenka Nováčková, Randstad HR Director CR.Especially for managerial positions, however, in her words, experience and knowledge are not the only thing that employers are looking for. They emphasize the so-called soft skills soft skills. "Not everyone who exactly will meet professional requirements for the position is best suited for her. Sometimes it may play an equally important role for example, results orientation, adaptability, or the ability of teamwork," she added.

Quantitative study conducted by Randstad Workmonitor through an online questionnaire in the population aged 18 to 65 years, working at least 24 hours a week in paid employment (excluding self-employed). The minimum size of the sample is 400 respondents.
