The army rests more on active reserve, it counts them for foreign missions


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - The Czech military will undergo significant changes. Professional soldiers will complement had five thousand active reservists who, however, will be much better trained and paid than it is now and will be among them specialists from various fields. Reservists can now also be deployed in foreign military missions.

Compared currently so will utter rebuild concept of military advances. They are currently operating at the Regional Military Commands (KVV) and comprises some 1,100 reservists. New active reservists compared to the present should be better trained and salaries. Eight weeks from the current concept envisages extending their training at 12 weeks and the annual fee should be doubled to 12,000 crowns. In addition, they are entitled to the same benefits as professional soldiers such as medical and rehabilitative care. Also doubles the total number of active sites in advance to 5000. Changes but also their role in the deployment of the action. "We expect that it will increase the possibility of deployment of active reserves, including operational deployment abroad," said Chief of Army Staff General Peter Paul.

Newly should also be encouraged employers to be willing to train their employees in the active reserves from work release. The final form of incentive measures, however, has not yet been finalized and is now on it is.

"Only from the budget of the Department of Defense are not able to provide the motivation, that is why we have raised this point in Monday on the National Security Council, and we emphasize that it takes the participation of other departments," said Paul. Despite the increase in the number of active reservists MoD promises that this step saves. Price for the training and preparation of a soldier active reserves corresponds to approximately 65-85 thousand crowns a year, the soldier in active service, but it is up to half a million. The cost of 5,000 soldiers in active backups and will be approximately 450 million crowns. Not in every situation, the occupation reservist pay. In direct deployment is engaged midfielder deployment more expensive than a professional soldier. The reason for this compensation is that the army had in such cases provides.
