IATA estimates significantly increased airline profits this year and next year


The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has increased its earnings estimates for the airlines in this and next year. This year, airlines generally earn around 6.7 mld.USD than previously estimated 4.1 mld.USD.
The estimate for next year then raised from 7.5 to 8.4 mld.USD. For European airlines, IATA estimates for this year, compared with zero loss initially estimated at 1.2 mld.USD.
For improving the overall outlook is mainly due to improvements in efficiency and stronger growth in air traffic.

IATA also said that so far most of the risk factors applicable to sector pays on the head with the uncertain development of the European debt crisis.
