CR - unemployment rose significantly in December, the rate to 9.4%


At 31 December 2012 was 545,311 jobless people. This is about 36,813 more than at the end of November, down 36 unemployed increased 860th It results from the Labour Office of the Czech Republic. For men, the unemployment rate at the end of December increased by 0.9 percentage points to 8.4% in women and by 0.3 percentage points to 10.6%. In absolute numbers unemployed was 266 593 women (48.9% of total unemployed) and 62,038 persons with disabilities (11.4%).

The highest unemployment rateat 31 December 2012 in the districts Bruntál (18.0%), Jesenik (16.4%), Most (16.0%), Znojmo and Chomutov (both 15.1%). Lowest in the districts of Prague-East (3.6%), Prague-West (4.4%), Prague (4.5%) and Mlada Boleslav (5.1%).

Unemployment in December 2012 to provide employment offices 107 937 job seekers, ie 19.8% of persons kept in records. A month earlier unemployment benefits received 18.4% of job seekers in December 2011 it was 25.6%.
