China - Foreign exchange reserves in December grew by 128 mld.USD to 3.31 trillion U.S. dollars, the amount of loans


China's foreign exchange reserves in December increased by another 128 mld.USD to total 3.31 trillion dollars. Market estimated slightly more towards growth resulting mld.USD 3.32.

According to statistics PBOC indicator M2 money supply grew in December year on year to 13.8% compared to the expected 14%. The share of loans in the local economy, the overall sector activity fell to a record low level. The decrease mainly due to the rise of alternative financing methods. Total loans in December amounted to 454.3 billion yuan = about 73 mld.USD compared to 640.5 billion yuan in December 2011.

In total loans granted in December for 1.63 trillion yuan = approx 262 mld.USD. In December 2011 it was 1.27 trillion yuan. The market expected loans at 1.2 trillion yuan.
