European shares lost, most financial stocks fall


Western European stock indexes today are falling by about 1.5%. Partially repeats the situation on the markets Monday, when concerns about possible electoral success of former Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi precipitated mainly shares of financial institutions. Italian bank Unicredit fall or Intesa Sanpaolo, as well as French banks. Among the losers is after results and construction company Vinci, published results of contrast helps automakers Volvo shares. Decline in U.S. indices also opened, but they are unlike European stock markets since the beginning of the year still significantly profitable. Earnings season offered such numbers media group Time Warner, which is the largest shareholder of CME. Better than expected earnings and increase dividends TW shares boosted by almost 5%.

The Prague Stock Exchange shortly before the close of trading weakens by 0.3%. In line with developments in Western Europe, mainly behind this decrease in some financial stocks (Erste Bank and VIG -2.5% -1.8%), but this increase compensates CEZ shares (2.3%). Shares of the largest Czech companies today significantly surpass the performance of rival European power utilities. After the opening of U.S. stock markets and falls CME (-4%), which even approaches the psychological limit of 100 crowns per share.
