Mobile operators: Defense against the entry of PPF works, the cheaper tariffs facing an onslaught of customers
Domestic mobile operators last week introduced new tariffs often bring up multiple unlimited calls cheaper compared to more recent practice. All operators after introducing new tariffs register multifold increase in traffic information lines and activities of candidates and clients in stone branch offices. For example, according T.Mobile customer interest is enormous, from Saturday performances of new tariffs the company yesterday already registered over 10,000 new clients. TO2 said that almost immediately after the introduction of new tariffs more than three-fold increased activity with multiple customer line growth activation applications compared with current practice. The onslaught was expected and the operator has increased the number of workers. Also reported a similar pattern Vodafone.
HC2 offered last Thursday as the first new tariffs with unlimited calls to any network and internet on the strength of j GB for the standard 749 CZK in-time to two years. The same offer later brought T-Mobile, Vodafone for unlimited calls and SMS and internet, limited to 600 megabytes required 691 CZK.
Previous experience for unlimited tariffs on a similar scale setting out the monthly fees of about 2300 CZK.
New tariffs to zančné extent aligned substantially the existing differences compared to similar tariffs abroad. For comparison, in Poland, the prices range from the equivalent of 560 to 670 CZK, Austria around CZK 695, CZK 517-776-1164 from Germany, the Slovak around 1,000 CZK.
Interestingly HC2 average income per client last year amounted to CZK 389 per month or 5187 for contract customers.
According to experts, a step HC2 quite a surprise. Reactions from other operators was only logical. The main purpose of the new supply is likely to protect against the entry of a new operator, which should emerge from the upcoming second round of the auction of available frequencies. Interest in entering the domestic telecom market affected by the financial group PPF, which early on declared that, if successful, intends to enter the market with very aggressive pricing. Estimating the impact of new tariffs for the auction at the moment is still too complicated. According to the comments, however, the new tariffs will cause the need to recalculate the original plans PPF return on their investment.
