The Minister has agreed with Heger with health departments, the risk of demonstrations

Mediafax

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - The unions did not agree with the Minister of Health Leos Heger (TOP 09), which on Monday is not convinced of the importance of the forthcoming changes in the wage tariffs. Reuters confirmed that after meeting Vice President Ivan Břeňková unions.

Minister of Health is under the trade unionists at the meeting insisted and said that the changes in tariff wages are not as harmful as the trade unions. "We ask the Minister pointed out that the interference in the tables employees feel as a humiliation. He said to us that it understands, but still insists on changes," said Břeňková.

Vice-President added that if trade unions and evening meetings with Prime Minister Petr Necas (ODS) results that the changes will be enforced as proposed by the government, health departments are ready to join the demonstration which is planned for 21 September.

Before the trade unions on 20 September plan another meeting with the Minister.

Health departments in the matter of the proposed salary tables crossed out by 10 percent. They claim that the government's proposal to reduce salaries of staff in health care far more about money than about 10 percent. There is a growing practice with cuts in pay is much deeper, said union Vice President Ivan Břeňková.

According to government plans to table two variants of possible cuts. "In the first reduction will actually pay only 10 percent of pay for nurses with experience in one year.If such a practice in six years, had her salary falls by 19 percent. Nurse with one year experience will be taken as well as practice nurse with more than 32 years, 14 370 crowns. For practice nurses with over 32 years, then decline is 9600 crowns, which is already 40 percent, "explained Břeňková.

The softer option then cuts to 10 percent paid by nurses with experience in 19 years, longer practice but then again 'rewarded' by a further reduction of salaries by up to five thousand. For workers in social services then the situation is very similar, but the only difference that the starting salary for crossed out is much lower.
