Polish antimonopoly office continues to concern PGE Energy takeover

Mediafax

KRAKOW (MEDIAFAX) - Polish antimonopoly office UOKiK still holds a negative opinion on a possible takeover of the Polish Energy Group energy giant PGE power plant. On Monday, it said the server wnp.pl head of the Office Małgorzata Krasnodębska-Tomkielová.

It PGE and Czech Energy and Industrial Holding (EPH) advanced to the final round of the tender for the privatization of Energy. In doing so this week should the Polish Ministry of National Property announce the winner of the tender for 82.9 percent of the shares of this company.

UOKiK previously stated that a possible link PGE and Energy will lead to excessive concentration in the electricity market and the deterioration of end customers."It is very unlikely that will change this attitude," said Krasnodębska-Tomkielová.

For this reason, the Polish media speculated last month that a greater chance of Energy has a PDC.
