CEZ did not rule out that Temelin occurs in conjunction with another energy company

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Energy group CEZ could in the future completion of Temelin cooperate with other European energy companies, but at present the question of financing expansion of nuclear power is not current. Mediafax agency on Wednesday said CEZ spokeswoman Eva Novakova.

"Does not exclude it. Question of financing the completion of Temelin is not current, yet is just above this and we intend to analyze. Certainly do not exclude that if you find people interested in financing the completion, then we act on this," said Novak.

According to co-finance the construction of new nuclear units common in Europe, as an example pointed to the richest European energy company, the French EdF. "The funding Flamanville nuclear power plant with the participation of Italian energy giant ENEL," said Novak.

The tender for the completion of two blocks of a nuclear power plant is the largest contract in Central and Eastern Europe. The winner, which should be known in the spring of 2012, gains from CEZ contract for two blocks in Temelin with an option for a further three in Dukovany and Slovak Jaslovske Bohunice. Construction of new units should be in accordance with previous information to begin in 2013, 2020, the then newly-built blocks could begin supplying power to the grid. The cost of completion should reach 500 billion crowns, CEZ wants to fund it from their own resources and bank loans.
