Kalousek: The government could compensate for more expensive electricity sales allowances

According to Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek is offered as a solution to a difficult situation around the upcoming price increases due to solar energy resources to use resources from the sale of emission allowances. Originally planned to become the emission allowances for the years 2013 to 2020 to provide businesses free of charge. In those years, revenues from the sale of emission allowances should reach approximately 90 mld.Kč. With the proposal to use these resources to offset the increase in electricity prices recently came Confederation of Industry of the Republic. The same solution proposed by Czech Photovoltaic Industry Association. "It's a logical solution," said Kalousek.

Funds from the sale of allowances should be to compensate for increases in electricity prices, according to him enough about the next two years. The solution, however, require some legislative action. By the end of this year, for example, will be discussed with distributors compensation mechanism.

Compensation mechanism should work so that distribution companies would further the cost of purchasing electricity from renewable sources do not charge consumers, but the state would these costs are paid from the sale of these allowances.
