ThyssenKrupp profit exceeded market expectations


FRANKFURT (MEDIAFAX) - Germany's largest steelmaker ThyssenKrupp in the past fiscal year, which ended in September 2010, reported net profit of 824 million euros (20.4 billion CZK). On Tuesday, about Reuters and Bloomberg.

Profit was higher than expected. Analysts polled by Bloomberg predicted that net profit reached 752.4 million euros (18.6 billion CZK).

In the same period a year ago the company recorded a loss in volume of 1.86 billion euros (46 billion CZK).

Thanks to the good results of the company could improve its estimate of the future. In the next fiscal year, which ends in September 2011, the steel producer ThyssenKrupp sales, increase by ten to 15 percent.
