Adoption of the euro before 2015 will be difficult for Poland, says Deputy Prime Minister Pawlak


BUDAPEST (MEDIAFAX) - Poland considers that it would be very difficult to adopt the euro before 2015, because currently only fulfills certain criteria that are currently associated with entry into the euro area, said on Monday the Polish Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak. Informed the agency said.

"We meet all the criteria, so the introduction of the euro in Poland before 2015 was very difficult," Pawlak said in an interview for Monday's issue of the Hungarian Write Gazdasági sheet.

The Polish representative also said that economic growth this year will surpass the expectations of government. "According to statistics, the Polish gross domestic product in the third quarter of this year grew by 4.2 percent.This means that at the end of 2010 Poland's economic growth exceeds the forecast at 3.5 percent, "he explained.
