Hypoindex: The average interest rate on mortgages in the Republic in March rose to 3.68 percent

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - The average interest rate on mortgages in the CR increased slightly in March from February's 3.61 to 3.68 percent, total mortgages were closed in the 6111 volume of 10.32 billion crowns. According to data Fincentrum Hypoindexu, published on Wednesday.

"Interest on mortgage loans in the Czech Republic does not decrease. Quite the contrary. In March it was agreed by almost 600 mortgage loans more than last month. Overall, it were concluded in March 6111 mortgages. This year, the total volumes crossed the border ten billion crowns, "says server.

Interest rates rose slightly in March from February's 3.61 to 3.68 percent. Despite the increase in rates still remains favorable. Volumes rose to 10.32 billion crowns, which is about one and a half billion more than in February.

"The March growth rate has been modest so far, with five-year was driven mainly by fixations, which broke away from their minimum values. Although there has been in terms of volume and a significant number of mom growth, year on year compared with a decline that was not caused by a record last year in March, when the mortgage market recovery, "said Joseph Rajdl, senior analyst, Fincentrum.

The most popular are still three-and five-fixation, even when interest rates for these fixation slightly increased. Rates fell only variable mortgages (by 0.27 percentage points), interest on loans with floating rate is again dropped below three percent, namely to 2.76 percent.

About five hundred thousand have changed the average amount of a mortgage loan at an annual fixation. This is because of mortgages that were agreed in March very little, the average interest rate on one-year fixation is 4.37 percent.

Fincentrum Hypoindex evaluate mortgage prices over time. It is a weighted average interest rate for which are provided in a given calendar month mortgage loans to individuals. Weights are the volumes of loans. Input data for calculations provided by Czech savings bank, CSOB, GE Money Bank, Mortgage Bank, Commercial Bank, Raiffeisenbank, UniCredit Bank, Volksbank CZ and Wüstenrot mortgage bank.
