CR - in April, a further decline in construction output and housing
Construction output in April 2012 declined year on year by 2.7%. Construction output seasonally adjusted was in April 2012 decreased by 0.5%. Building construction output fell by 0.6% (contribution -0.4 pp) and civil engineering output fell by 7.8% (contribution -2.3 pp). Construction output from the beginning of the end of April has fallen in comparison to the boom of 2008 by 30.4%.
Average number of employees 1)in enterprises with 50 or more employees in the construction industry in April 2012 year decreased by 4.3%. Average monthly nominal wage fell by 3.8% and reached CZK 28 826.
Number of building permits issued in April 2012 decreased by 10.8%, building control authorities granted 8 218th approximate value of these buildings reached CZK 23.7 billion and compared to the same period of 2011 decreased by 2.8%.
Number of dwellings started in April 2012 decreased by 17.8% and amounted to 1 863 bytes. Number of dwellings in residential buildings decreased by 38.2% for dwellings in family houses decreased by 15.7%.
Number of dwellings completed in April 2012 fell by 28.3% and amounted to 1 500 bytes. Number of completed dwellings in residential buildings decreased by 64.8%, in family homes fell by 13.6%.
Construction output by Eurostat in March 2012 in the EU27 declined when adjusted for working days by 3.9%. Building construction fell by 3.1% and civil engineering by 8.0%. Data for April 2012 released by Eurostat on 19th 6th 2012 at 11:00 am
