CR - the industry grew slightly in April, hodnta new orders increased

Industrial production in April rose by 2.2% in real terms. Compared with the previous month, following the exclusion of seasonally higher by 0.1%. The value of new orders grew by 0.4%.

Industrial production in April 2012 grew by 2.2%, Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 0.1 %. The annual growth in industrial production was most contributed to by 'manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (by +1.6 percentage points, an increase of 8.3%), production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (by +1.0 pp , an increase of 12.3%) and manufacture of machinery and equipment (by +0.6 pp +7.5%). Industrial production fell the most in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical equipment (contribution -0.7 pp, drop by 19.0%), Beverages (contribution -0.2 pp, A decrease of 11.6%) and manufacture of food products (contribution -0.2 pp, drop by 5.0%).

Sales from industrial activity at current prices grew by 2.7%. Direct export sales of industrial enterprises at current prices increased by 4.2%. Domestic sales, which include indirect exports through non-industrial enterprises, in current prices increased by 1.2%.

The value of new orders in selected sectors increased by 0.4%. New orders from abroad, while increased by 7.5%, while domestic new orders decreased by 11.6%. The annual growth in total new orders was most contributed to manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (by +2.7 percentage points, an increase of 8.1%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+0.6 percentage point contribution, An increase of 9.0%) and manufacture of machinery and equipment (by +0.5 pp, growth by 4.9%). New orders dropped in 'manufacture of computer, electronic and optical equipment (contribution -1.6 pp, drop by 14.7%), manufacture of electrical equipment (contribution -1.3 pp, drop by 12.7%) and fabricated metal products (contribution -0.5 pp, drop by 4.3%).

Average number of employees *) in enterprises with 50 or more employees in the industry

in April 2012 year increased by 0.1%. Average monthly nominal wage in April 2012 rose by 2.2% and reached CZK 25 924.
