The German economy should grow in the second half, the Bundesbank estimates

FRANKFURT (MEDIAFAX) - German Bundesbank central bank expects economic growth in Germany in the second half of this year rises, because the demand from home and from countries outside the euro area will compensate for declining exports to member countries, the currency bloc. Informed the agency on Monday said.

The recent decline in industrial orders and industrial production showed that Europe's largest economy is not immune from the debt crisis Eurozone. As indices of the business environment and economic sentiment from the ZEW and the Ifo Institute in May fell.

Aware of the increased uncertainty about economic developments in recent weeks, the Bundesbank in its monthly report that the question remains to what extent the recent intensification of the debt crisis and signs of cooling global economy will affect Germany.

"Current indicators do not conflict with the expectation that overall economic growth dynamics could gradually return again in the second half of the weaker spring quarter," the Bundesbank said in its June monthly report.
