Roland Berger: In 2030, worldwide miss 200 to 300 million workers

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Eight out of ten employees currently working in emerging and developing countries and this figure is rising, causing a demographic change in Western Europe, which will in future face a lack of specialists. According to a recent study by Roland Berger.

Roland Berger experts in the new book "HR Goes Global" from the series "8 Billion Business Opportunities" predict that in 2030 the European market will miss about 50 million trained workers. So now companies are faced with the difficult question: how best to use the enormous human potential of emerging and developing countries. The level of education in these countries is growing rapidly, but this education is in many cases. The problem is particularly low level of proficiency in English.

"Pessimism in most OECD countries is shortsighted. Current global imbalances and uncertainty can not see long-term growth potential of the global economy, which will intensify the fight for talent. Despite short-term slowdown in our local economy, many companies in the Czech Republic are now faced with the fight for talent , "said Constantin Kinsky, director of the Prague branch of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

"Companies have this new demographic balance to adjust their staffing strategies if they do not want to miss important opportunities offered by globalization," says Kinsky.

Currently working in the world about three billion people, 80 percent of them in developing countries. They grow not only the population of these countries, but also their economy. While Roland Berger experts expect this year in Europe more than one percent GDP growth, growth in the group "Focus 20" expect between four to eight percent. The Focus Group 20 includes: Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
