Hewlett Packard is considering the release of up to 1,000 workers in Germany


BERLIN (MEDIAFAX) - The U.S. group Hewlett Packard (HP), the world's largest PC maker, is considering the release of up to 1,000 workers in Germany in a European context of the planned layoffs. On Saturday, about Reuters.

According to Reuters, computer giant HP plans to reduce its workforce in Europe until the end of 8000 to 2014.

Hewlett Packard, which employs 300,000 people worldwide, announced in May that it plans to lay off about 27,000 employees (8%), mainly through early retirement. The company wants to achieve savings in wages amounting to $ 3.5 billion (71.92 billion dollars) in 2013 to 2014.

HP was founded in 1939 and is a supplier of technology in more than 170 countries around the world. Hewlett Packard located in Palo Alto, California and last year posted revenues $ 127.2 billion (2.613 trillion dollars).
