Sociologist Keller: You can not want mutual integration in Europe and also neoliberalism

BRUSSELS (MEDIAFAX) - It is unrealistic to Europe on the one hand tried to integrate as closely as possible and at the same time promote the path of neoliberalism. In Questions of Václav Moravec on Sunday it said sociologist Jan Keller with the fact that it is the merging of these two ideas can see the current conflict and the problem of Europe.

"Neo-liberal policies such as maximum mount for deregulation, which also means that banks have complete freedom in their inflating financial bubbles, and then when it fails, as it did not work in Spain, so it should pay for Europe," said Keller, adding that another element of the neoliberal minimum tax. "If taxes are almost none, as in Greece, Europe has to call again," said Keller.

He believes that neo-liberal Europe is nonsense directly from its definition. "The neo-liberalism is a free competition, but if individual states are free to compete, will be some winners and others losers. And in a free and united Europe then after each round of this match Brussels takes money from the pockets of the winners and poured them into the pockets of losers in order to continue with the next round of European unification, "he said.

"If Europe is meant only compete with each other, then it will lead to the fact that Central States will lend to the peripheral, so that they can buy their goods. This krachne when peripheral states will not have to pay interest on the loans the central states such as Germany, "says sociologist.

According to Keller is not possible to want European integration and neo-liberalism at the same time. "Europe is now a real crossroads and should decide how to proceed," he concluded.
