Markit will publish data on the German service sector for June

LONDON (MEDIAFAX) - Markit on Wednesday published details of the June Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for services in Germany. He slowed in May to a six month minimum, though weakened to 51.8 points.

The results of a survey conducted by Markit in May fell short of earlier estimates and suggested that the debt crisis in the euro area starts to turn Europe's largest economy.

German PMI services sector, although remained above the 50 points that separates growth from decline, but it was the worst result since November last year. According to an earlier estimate, while a key indicator in May to keep the April value of 52.2 points.

Service providers in Germany in May failed to compensate for the decline in industrial activity, which weakened the most in almost three years.

PMI Composite Index, which includes the manufacturing sector and services sector, according to final data in Germany in May fell to 49.3 points from 50.5 points in April.
