Central banks can write off up to 30% of Greek debt - debt the country has dropped by up to 100 mld.EUR

According to agency reports that EU leaders had come with a new proposal for a "last resort" for Greece. He anticipates that the central bank wrote off up to 30% of the value of Greek bonds in their possession. Such a step would reduce the country's debt by 70 to 100 billion and the debt ratio would decrease to about 100% of GDP.

In the first stage of the debt restructuring this spring, private investors have written off over 50% of the nominal amount of Greek obligations.
