Unemployment rate in July rose to 8.3%

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - In July, the registered unemployment increased in the Czech Republic by 0.2 percentage point to 8.3 percent. On Wednesday informed the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MLSA).

At the end of July, the Labour Office filed the CR (CR LO) at its regional offices and their contact centers a total of 485 597 job seekers. Their number was about 11,011 higher than at the end of the previous month (+2.3 percent). Compared to the same period of 2011, it's about 13 people more.

In July it was at LO CR newly registered 48 423 persons. Compared to the previous month it was about 17,407 more people in the same period last year, less about 6986 people.

In contrast, from the records in July left 37 412 applicants (completed registration, job elimination), which was less than 1117 persons in the previous month and 11,188 persons less than in July 2011. The employment of them in the reference month enrollment of 21 096 persons, ie by 3482 less than in the previous month and by 7768 less than in July last year. A total of 16 316 candidates were eliminated without placing.

Monthly increase in unemployment was recorded in 72 districts. The largest increase occurred in districts Chrudim (7.3 percent), Pelhrimov (+5.9 percent), Plzen-sever (+5.8 percent) over Rychnov Kněžnou (+5.6 percent), Prague-East ( +5.5 percent) and the Czech Budejovice (+5.0 percent).

At the end of July, filed LO CR 255 010 women. Their share in the total number of applicants was 52.5 percent. The records were 61 100 persons with disabilities, representing 12.6 percent of the total unemployed.

At 31 7th 2012 were registered 21 042 school leavers with all levels of education and youth, their number increased in comparison with the previous month and about 1173 people, compared to July 2011 decreased by 3,420 people. The overall unemployment rate contributed 4.3 percent.

Unemployment drew 91,839 job seekers, ie 18.9 percent of all job seekers under registration.

LO CR filed at the end of July a total of 41 093 job vacancies. Their number was about 1,686 lower than in the previous month and by 2195 more than in July 2011.In July it was reported or newly released 10 585 jobs and 12 271 job vacancies were recently filled or canceled. On the one vacancy on average there were 11.8 applicants.
