U.S. - home prices in metropolitan areas in June surprised marked the first increase after 2 years

The S & P / Case-Shiller home price monitor developments in 20 major U.S. cities in June recorded an annual increase of 0.5%, which represents the first increase since September 2010. Market while counting with a slight decrease of 0.05% in the overall estimates range from -1.5 to +1%.
Home prices in the last quarter grew most over the last 6 years. In May, the index showed a decrease of 0.7%.

For the full Q2 home prices rose in the cities down by 1.2% compared to a decline of 1.4% in 1Q. QoQ in 2Q prices jumped not seasonally adjusted 6.9%. After cleaning it grew by 2.2%, its best result since 4Q05.

Mom prices in metropolitan areas grew after adjustment for seasonal effects by 0.9%, not adjusted by 2.3%.

13 of the 20 cities tracked showed annual growth in prices, led by 14% in Phoenix. On the other hand, the worst in June led Atlanta with a fall of 12%.
