Czech is becoming an economic black sheep in the region, warned Public Affairs


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Czech households spend less on food, clothing and services and to grow the economy. The Czech Republic becomes the black sheep of the region, said at Wednesday's press conference, Public Affairs chairman Radek John.

"Statistics confirm that the economy contracting by 1.2 percent. An idea - in a similar situation in our region is only Hungary, other countries either slow growth or grow around two per cent., The Czech Republic becomes the black sheep of the economic region," said John.

He pointed out that due to rise Czech households spend less on food, clothing and services. Often choose cheaper alternatives goods that is imported.

"If there was a further increase in prices and a slump in the economy, the largest employers begin to leak, leading to a rise in unemployment in the most affected regions," said John, leaning intoMinistry of Finance.

This, according to him, rather than part of the tax package should focus on fighting the gray economy.

Public affairs because they want to maintain the current rate of VAT and to focus on the gray economy and gambling.
