CR - Industrial output in July grew by 1.1% m / m or 4.2% y / y growth in new orders


Industrial output in July rose by 4.2%. Compared to the previous month, seasonally adjusted excluding higher by 1.1%. The value of new orders grew by 16.0%.

Industrial production in July 2012 grew by 4.2%, adjusted for the number of working days increased by 1.7%. In July 2012, compared to the same month of the previous year by 1 working day. Seasonally adjusted (WDA) industrial production increased by 1.1%. Results in selected sectors were partly influenced by the change of company holidays within the two months holiday.

The annual growth of industrial production was most contributed to by manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +1.4 percentage points, an increase of 7.5%), manufacture of electrical equipment (by +1.2 pp 19.7%) and manufacture of machinery and equipment (by +0.9 pp 10.1%). Industrial production fell the most in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (contribution -0.3 pp -8.6%), manufacture of basic metals and fabricated; foundry (contribution -0.2 pp 5 , 3%) and furniture (contribution -0.1 pp -8.8%).

Sales from industrial activity at current prices increased by 5.8%. Direct export sales of industrial enterprises at current prices increased by 9.4%. Domestic revenues, which include indirect export of non-industrial enterprises at current prices increased 2.3%.

The value of new orders in selected sectors grew by 16.0%. New orders from abroad, while they increased by 22.7%, while domestic new orders rose by only 4.1%. Positive development of new orders was, nevertheless, influenced significantly lower comparison base last year. The annual growth in total new orders contributed most to the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +11.4 percentage points, an increase of 41.6%), manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (contribution +1.7 pp, growth of 13.7%) and manufacture of machinery and equipment (by +1.3 pp 10.1%). New orders decreased in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metals (contribution -0.5 pp -4.6%), manufacture of other transport equipment (contribution -0.5 pp, A decrease of 26.1%) and manufacture of garments (-0.03 pp contribution, a decrease of 4.5%).

Average number of employees *) in enterprises with 50 or more employees in the industry in July 2012 year decreased by 0.6%. Their average monthly nominal wage in July 2012 rose by 4.5% and amounted to 26 436 CZK.

Industrial productionsince the beginning of 2012 grew by 1.1%. The annual growth of industrial production was most contributed to by manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +1.6 percentage points, an increase of 7.9%), manufacture of electrical equipment (by +0.4 pp +7.5%) and manufacture of machinery and equipment (by +0.4 pp +4.8%). Industrial production fell the most in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (contribution -0.4 pp 12.1%), manufacture of basic metals and fabricated; foundry (contribution -0.3 pp of 6 , 3%) and manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (contribution -0.2 pp -3.3%).

Sales from industrial activity at current prices in January-July 2012 grew by 3.6 %. Direct export sales of industrial enterprises at current prices increased by 5.8%. Domestic revenues, which include indirect export of non-industrial enterprises at current prices increased by 1.5%.

New orders in selected sectors in January to July 2012 increased by 5.6 %. New orders from abroad, while increased by 9.9%, while domestic new orders decreased by 2.2%. The annual growth in total new orders contributed most to the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution of +5.6 percentage points, an increase of 17.8%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+1.0 pp contribution, growth of 15 , 1%) and manufacture of machinery and equipment (by +0.4 pp +3.4%). New orders decreased in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metals (contribution -0.7 pp, A decrease of 7.5%), manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (contribution -0.6 pp -5.1%) and manufacture of other transport equipment (contribution -0.4 pp on 22.7%).

Average number of employees *) in enterprises with 50 or more employees in the industry in January-July 2012 increased by 0.1%. Their average monthly nominal wage in January to July 2012 increased by 3.9% and amounted to 26,184 CZK.
