The ECB left rates unchanged and did not meet the expectations of most market

The European Central Bank (ECB) has today decided to maintain the existing rate unchanged at a record low level of 0.75%. This step is thought to be only 28 out of 58 respondents surveyed by Bloomberg. The rest of the respondents foresaw a decline in interest rates by 0.25%.

Details of the decision and the expected announcement of scalding by purchasing bonds should be heard at the press conference. The fact that there was no change in rates according to market reactions suggest that central bankers have found agreement on the announcement of the plan.

Rates today also left unchanged the Bank of England.
