LN: The decline in car sales abroad cologne crushes car company must lay off

COLOGNE (MEDIAFAX) - Continuously declining car sales mainly in the south of Europe forcing cologne TPCA to layoffs. Already this year, the factory had to leave four hundred employees and another hundred testimony still waiting to inform in Wednesday's issue of Lidove noviny (LN).

The fall in production in Cologne inhibit whole Czech automotive industry. While in February, production of passenger cars in the Czech Republic grew by 17 percent for the January-August, only about two percent.

"For the full year production will remain at last year's level, even though we had been expecting a five percent growth," says Martin Jahn, president of the Automotive industry. This year in our country should produce nearly 1.2 million cars. Car sales in Europe scored the last eight months a decline of more than six per cent to 8.6 million vehicles.
