PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - The lower house on Wednesday meeting discussed the laws returned by the Senate and the President, in the afternoon, MEPs also received several laws in the second reading. For example, MEPs approved the law on energy management as well as the upper chamber and returned an amendment to the Code Enforcement.

Members of the meeting yesterday overrode the veto of President Vaclav Klaus to Act on Energy. The buildings will be new labeling of similar electrical appliances.

The House approved the Senate returned all laws, most of the original version. Senate members outvoted in the case of the amendment and enforcement of the Code, which brings the possibility of merging execution, discharging their judicial regulation or stricter penalties executors. The amendment is to relieve the overburdened courts.

In the original version the House also adopted an amendment to the Building Act, a bill on institutional care, which aims to reduce the number of children in institutions, or laws against cruelty to animals.

On the contrary, the amendments adopted by the Senate of the lower chamber in the case of amendments to the Act on Protection of Competition, which guarantees notifier cartel waiver or reduction of the fine. The Senate version deputies adopted the amendment and Insolvency Act, which introduces as punishment for unjust filing an insolvency petition fine of up to 50,000 crowns.

MEPs on Wednesday afternoon, also received several laws in the second reading, for example, the amendment to the Law on Value Added Tax (VAT). This is transposition and amending certain rules on invoicing. "A large part of the standard also focuses on the fight against tax evasion of VAT.It is indeed amazing and fantastic tax, but assuming that they are all honest, "said the norm in the first reading Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek (TOP 09).

A comprehensive discussion of the more expensive cigarettes and tobacco brought another proposal in second reading, namely the amendment of the Excise Tax Act. According to the excise tax on cigarettes are expected to increase in the next two years by 15 cents per unit, increase the tax cigars and also significantly increase the tax on tobacco and smoking. "It's more or less technical amendment, which partially implements the European Directive on excise duty," said Standard's reporter Radim Fiala (ODS). Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek, this amendment is necessary and Czech Republic is obliged to accept it.

The House also released the final reading of the House amendment to the Labour Code, which grants the right to rescuers severance. The proposal provides that the severance pay upon termination of employment are entitled to health care workers older than 50 years who also work at the ambulance for at least 15 years, at least half-time.

MEPs also discussed the government bill on audiovisual or the amendment of the budget rules.

Shortly before 19 pm sent to final reading a bill on expropriation, which provides cheaper and faster expropriation of plots for construction traffic and technical infrastructure.
