The European Commission wants to adopt Czech blanket ban on exports of alcohol

BRUSSELS (MEDIAFAX) - The European Commission (EC) proposed the Czech Republic to adopt a blanket ban on exports of spirits to all EU countries and other countries. Failing that the Czech government, the Commission is prepared to take the necessary steps, informed Mediafax Wednesday MEP Pavel Poc (CSSD).

The European Commission wants to protect EU citizens against possible poisoning pančovaným alcohol.

The EC would also like to prevent this proposal unilateral bans on imports from other Member States. On Sunday already banned the import and sale of alcohol Czech, Poland, on Tuesday adopted the same measures and Slovakia.

Russia and Belarus have tightened controls on imported Czech alcohol, but if the next few days fail to find the main source of harmful alcohol and Russia could import liquor from the Czech Republic also disable.

Germany, Ireland and Belgium have warned tourists to the Czech Republic not buy or drink any alcohol suspected.
