TOP 09 wants ODS compliance agreements on pension reform and change VAT

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - The Civic Democrats should keep the coalition agreement on the tax package and pension reform. The strongest party of government after the meeting Tuesday called keeping her coalition partner, TOP 09, the spokeswoman Elizabeth Plívová.

"TOP 09 The Bureau strongly urges ODS to honor the coalition agreement concluded in the budget legislation and reform of the pension system," said Plívová. TOP 09 responds to the maneuvering six MPs from the Civic Democrats in the House who rejected the first attempt to increase the VAT rate to 15 and 21 percent and now hesitant to override veto of President Vaclav Klaus.

The president on Monday rejected the technical standards necessary for pension reform from the start of next year, forcing the coalition to get the norm in the conciliar 101 votes.

"The coalition government, where one partner is unable to meet its obligations, it could not fulfill its program priorities, and would lose its reason for existence," said TOP 09 in its resolution. Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek, who is also the first Vice Party, already in the People newspaper also said that without the approval of the pension reform Nečas government ends.
